Microcurrent therapy
Microcurrent therapy
Microcurrent therapy is a medically based, non-invasive procedure that uses low-intensity electrical currents corresponding to the body's natural bioelectrical impulses. The treatment stimulates facial muscle tone, activates cellular ATP synthesis, and improves microcirculation and lymphatic drainage. Microcurrents are widely used for post–plastic surgery rehabilitation to reduce edema, accelerate tissue regeneration, and support optimal healing. The aesthetic outcome includes visible facial contour lifting, smoother skin, and noticeable rejuvenation from the first sessions.
24 hours before the facial procedure, do not use peels, retinol-containing products, acids (AHA/BHA) or perform other aggressive skin procedures, Do not sunbathe, visit tanning beds or sauna, or wax the facial area, On the day of the procedure, do not use heavy cosmetics or experiment with new skin care products and If the skin is irritated, sunburned or has active inflammation, be sure to inform the specialist before the procedure.
The procedure is performed using dermatologically tested professional products from Mesoestetic, ensuring effective active ingredient delivery and good skin tolerance. Professional devices are used during the procedure.
The procedure is recommended for: reduced facial muscle tone, skin laxity and loss of elasticity, fine lines and signs of ageing, sagging facial contour, puffiness, fluid retention in tissues, dull facial complexion and the need to improve skin regeneration and metabolism.
The procedure is not recommended in the presence of: pregnancy, epilepsy, implanted electronic medical devices (e.g., pacemaker), oncological diseases, acute inflammatory processes in treatment area, open skin damage and active dermatological diseases.
6–10 procedures with 3-day intervals and a maintenance procedure once a month.
The procedure is painless. Sensations can be described as light tingling or pleasant muscle stimulation.
The client can immediately return to daily activities.
After the procedure there may be mild redness and temporary skin sensitivity. Reactions usually fade within 24 hours.
For 24–48 hours avoid intensive physical activity, thermal procedures (sauna, steam bath) and UV radiation (direct sun exposure or tanning beds), For the first 24 hours do not expose the treated area to water (do not wash the face) and do not use decorative or active cosmetics and For 2–3 days do not use aggressive skin care products (acids, retinoids, peels, scrubs).
Avoid mechanical irritation in the treatment area and If increased redness, swelling or discomfort is observed, it is recommended to use cold compresses and topical products recommended by the cosmetologist.
