Chemical Peel Season Has Begun: Discover Your Most Radiant Skin!

With the coolness of autumn and the decrease in solar activity, our skin can finally breathe. While summer was wonderful—filled with sunshine, freckles, and relaxation—it also left its mark: pigmentation spots, a thickened stratum corneum (outer skin layer), and dehydration.

This means only one thing—the chemical peel season is officially open!

If you are looking for the most effective way to restore skin radiance, even out its tone and texture, as well as combat signs of aging, chemical peels are the "must-have" procedure in my cabinet this autumn and winter. Why now, and why is it so effective? Let's take a closer look.

What is a Chemical Peel and How Does It Work?

Simply put, chemical peels are a controlled exfoliation of the skin. By applying a specially formulated acid mixture (such as Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs), or Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA)) to the skin, we gently stimulate the shedding of dead skin cells.

This activates two main processes:

  1. Cell Renewal: The skin is "awakened" to produce new, healthy cells.

  2. Deep Regeneration: The acids penetrate deeper layers, stimulating the synthesis of collagen and elastin, which are responsible for skin firmness and elasticity.

What to Expect from a Peel Course in My Aesthetic Cosmetology Cabinet?

Working in my cabinet, I do not believe that a peel must necessarily be aggressive or painful. Modern professional preparations are very versatile and allow for a solution tailored to every skin type and concern.

A course of peels will help if you want to address the following issues:

  • Pigmentation and Uneven Skin Tone: Peels are excellent for lightening sun spots and post-acne hyperpigmentation.

  • Enlarged Pores and Blackheads: Salicylic acid (BHA) peels deeply cleanse pores and regulate sebum (oil) production.

  • First Signs of Aging: Glycolic acid and other anti-aging peels smooth out fine lines and improve skin turgor.

  • Dull, Tired Skin: The procedure instantly provides a healthy glow ("glass skin" effect).

  • Problematic Skin and Acne: Peels possess anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

Why Can Peels Only Be Performed in Autumn and Winter?

This is the most important rule in aesthetic cosmetology. A peel removes the skin's natural protective barrier, making the new, renewed skin especially sensitive to UV radiation.

Performing peels in the summer carries a huge risk of causing hyperpigmentation (dark spots that are very difficult to treat). Therefore, we wait for autumn when the sun's intensity decreases, allowing the skin to heal safely.

Important Reminder: Using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50+ is mandatory after a peel procedure, even on cloudy days!

What to Expect After the Procedure?

This depends on the depth of the peel:

  • Superficial Peels ("Lunchtime Peels"): There might be slight redness, which disappears within a couple of hours. You can return to your daily routine immediately. Mild, unnoticeable flaking might occur.

  • Medium-Depth Peels: These peels may require a couple of days of recovery time, and more active skin shedding (similar to a mild sunburn) is to be expected.

The result is absolutely worth it—you will achieve silky, smooth, and deeply cleansed skin.
